Today it takes as many creative and honest ways to raise funds to be able to help our veterans. Being Chaplain for the VA veteran outreach spirituality program, the VA Chaplains that I assist have no military service background, so the veterans reach out to me for advice and I end up giving a lot of assistance getting food to the families, directions for clothing and assistance for transportation to VA appointments. The VA offers me no financial assistance for gas or anything except bibles and spiritual materials.
The veterans can't eat that, my car can't burn that for fuel, the lunches I buy come out of my pocket, they help me in no way. Sometimes I get a few donations from some people that see my efforts of caring and giving and every little bit helps. The VA gets names and last 4 # for paper work.
I would appreciate 100 sincere Delaware veterans to contact me by email at email@example.com to discuss a positive way we can work together to create a system to support some of the veterans that will work to help themselves with a little hand up not a hand out.
