Giving Our All
"Throw your heart over the fence and the rest will follow.'
Norman Vincent Peale
To keep from being disappointed, we sometimes lower our expectations or avoid taking chances. There can be good reasons for this, but it can limit what we experience.
when we follow our heart, even at the risk of disappointment and pain, a world opens up we might not otherwise have entered; a job that takes us in new and exciting directions; friends we wouldn't have guessed would ''fit '' in our lives; experiences we didn't expect.
Adversity and Change A Test of Positive
Character
As every other unfortunate situation,
that occurs in life today.
I voice my opinion more,
for the few that still say NAY.
Anger real and hot inside,
depression did occur.
Denial was the one my friend,
That held on for dear life.
Acceptance came and bought a calm,
that little rest I need.
Recovering is a slow process,
that I must truly lead.
Today, tomorrow, respect myself
and others in this trial.
Being positive is a little hope,
my prayers to see some light.
The patience needed to endure,
my "Father God", my guide
Men, women, children, all alike,
He is right there by your side.
